On some Mercedes applications rubber spacers are used between the spring and vehicle body. If your intended application has
these spacers fitted then you should use spacers marked with one "dot" to get the lowest ride height. Thicker spacers are fitted
to vehicles that have air conditioning and automatic gearboxes (3-4 dots on the front), or that are used with trailers (3 dots at the rear). |

Check the internal diameter of the pigtail (smaller diameter coil at the top) on the front spring. This will be either 65mm or 81mm. |

BMW may have changed the front Dampers under Warranty from "EARLY" to "LATE" Suspension.
If the anti roll bar mounts on the Spring Pan, it is "EARLY" suspension (before March 2002) |
